About Dr. Ambrogio
Originally from Wethersfield, CT, Dr. Ambrogio was inspired to become an oral and maxillofacial surgeon by his own oral surgery experience. When he had his wisdom teeth removed, he was fascinated by the surgery and impressed with the result.
A former Italian diplomat, Dr. Ambrogio has always been outgoing and feels an obligation to help those in need. His experience working with top surgeons and giving lectures across the country are natural complements to his exceptional listening and communication skills as a provider.
Dr. Ambrogio centers his practice around his patients. Whether you see Dr. Ambrogio for a simple tooth extraction or a complex surgical procedure, you always have his full attention. He and his team have a sincere interest in their patients and perform at the highest level to achieve the results their patients deserve. To Dr. Ambrogio, a smiling face at the end of treatment is the greatest reward.
Education & Residency
Dr. Ambrogio graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine in 1988. He completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. He went on to complete a surgical fellowship at the Oral Surgical Institute in Nashville, TN.
Certifications
Dr. Ambrogio is board-certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (ABOMS) and is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (AAOMS). He is an Assistant Clinical professor at NYU and the University of Connecticut Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Hobbies & Interests
Outside of the practice, Dr. Ambrogio loves to spend time with his family. He also enjoys traveling and teaching. Dr. Ambrogio loves music and the arts, citing the Intermezzo from Mascagni’s Cavalleria Rusticana as one of his favorite pieces.
